Royal Kingdom BhutanDAY 1 : ARRIVE PARO - TIMPHU
Arrive at Airport in Paro, you will be driven to Thimphu, the modern capital town of Bhutan. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. Overnight in Thimphu. - None (Meals on your own)
DAY 2: IN TIMPHU
After breakfast, visit Handicraft Emporium, Bhutanese traditional paper factory, National Memorial Chorten, Buddha statue and Centenary Park located very close to river. The rest of the day is at leisure for shopping on your own. Overnight in Thimphu.
DAY 3: ON TO PUNAKHA After breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass, stop at Druk Wangyal Chorten from here you could have a panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain range when the weather is clear. Drive further down to Lamperi stop and explore Royal Botanical Park for few minutes and proceed to Punakha. On the way, stop and visit Chimmi Lhakhang temple or take a short walk. In the afternoon, visit the majestic Punakha Dzong. Overnight in Punakha.
DAY 4: ON TO PUNAKHA
After breakfast, drive to Paro and on the way visit Paro Dzong located on the rocky outcrop of the steep hillside overlooking both sides of the valley drive back to the town. In the afternoon, visit the old ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, 17th century fortress that used to keep invaders from Tibet and in 1951 the fort was destroyed by fire. Overnight in Paro.
DAY 5: PARO
After breakfast, drive till the base of the world famous Tiger's Nest, clings to a sheer, 900m above the ground which is the most popular spiritual heritage sites. There is a belief that the legend Padma Sambhava flew here from Tibet on the back of a tiger. On the way to town, visit Kyichu Lhakhang one of Bhutan's two oldest and most sacred monasteries dating from the introduction of Buddhism in the 7th century. Overnight in Paro.
DAY 6: DEPART PARO
